Changing the Future for Sick, Injured and Disabled Foxes + Wild Canids
We're creating the world’s first purpose-built nonprofit hospital and sanctuary dedicated entirely to the rescue, treatment, and rehabilitation of injured, sick, and disabled foxes and wild canids — offering levels of world-class medical care that’s never before been available to them, usually reserved for humans.
From paralysis to walking, seizures to stability, broken bones to wild release, organ failure to full recovery — we’ve already helped many hundreds of foxes return to health or find sanctuary. But many more are still turned away by rescues and vets due to lack of space, funding, or specialist care. We're here to change that.
A Revolutionary New Facility
Help us build our new 74,000 sq ft medical hospital complex on 50–200+ acres of wild natural sanctuary land. This one-of-a-kind facility will offer:
-
24/7 on-site referral-level veterinary care
-
Advanced diagnostic imaging suite: 7T MRI, 640-slice CT, 2x digital radiography, ultrasound and dental CT suites
-
Full physiotherapy suite: hydrotherapy, resonant frequency therapy, large indoor and outdoor rehabilitation and physio space.
-
8 fully equipped surgical operating theatres, 9 recovery and care wards, full anatomic and clinical pathology & microbiology labs
-
Fluoroscopy, Laparoscopy and Endoscopy operating theatres
-
74 large 2700 sq ft rehab/sanctuary enclosures for decompression, quarantine, or integration
-
200+ acres of safe, outdoor natural wildland sanctuaries adapted by condition, age, and vulnerability
-
Free care for foxes and wild canids from rescues, sanctuaries & veterinarians
-
a separate and independent on site referral veterinary practice for companion and other species
-
over 137 newly created job positions, not including volunteers
-
and much more not yet listed due to confidentiality.
Built to Serve, Built to Share
This isn’t just for us — The Fox Hospital will accept referrals and transfers from sanctuaries, wildlife hospitals, veterinary practices, rehabbers, rescue organisations, conservation organisations, and members of the public across the country. Whether they lack space, equipment, facilities, specialist knowledge, or experience, we’re here to take on even the most complex cases.
We’ll also act as a lifeline for foxes and wild canids affected by rescue closures, natural disasters, temporary incidents or situations, evacuations, or veterinary limitations — and offer free care where possible to other small sanctuaries and rescues to support the rescue and sanctuary community, the lifeblood of rehabilitation.
